| Eugene all geared up to race! |
Most of my co-workers know that one of most favorite thing is motor sports of all kinds. I like to go to the auto races at the big tracks at a NASCAR races or at an IndyCar race. I also go to the local race tracks to see the USAC Sprint Cars and Midgets. I do some online NASCAR racing on my home computer, I have a picture of the (Regional Center Dodge #23), on the wall in my office.
A few years ago, I was able to attend the Richard Petty Driving Experience Drive or Ride Along Programs in Las Vegas. It was lots of fun and the staffs at the Richard Petty Driving School were very helpful. They help me get in and out of the NASCAR Race Truck, it was so much fun.
Now with the support of my family and friends on June 8th I will be attending the Cory Kruseman's Sprint Car and Midget Driving School at the Ventura Raceway. I will be riding in a 1200 pound, 360 horsepower, 2 seat USAC Sprint Car.
Now that I have done the ride along program, how do I tell you much I enjoyed it. With the help of my brother (Ernie) getting me into the uniform and helmet and the staff at the Cory Kruseman's School getting into the sprint car. He started the car up and off I went on a ride of a live time. The first time under full power, all I can say is "WOW!!!" Pitching the car into tum one than back on the power and the G forces push in you back into the seat. We did that for 5 laps it was so much fun and it went by to fast. I remember at I was out of breath, I wasn't holding my breath, but I was thinking so much on what I was doing in the car. Now that I have taken the ride along course, my brother wants to take the driving course. If you would like to get more information you can contact them at www.kruseman.com I had a great time.

| Eugene ready for the ride of his life. |
The regional center has many consumers and families, their dreams and goals are important to them also. It is one of the reasons why I wanted to
write this article so people with disables that they can get out and do things. They should get together with their support group (Family and Friends) make a plan. I have had lots of help over the years by my support group to do the things I had to do and many fun things also.
So go out there and make a plan, live life and have a good time doing it.
