Schwarzenegger Administration Releases Draft Implementation of Medicaid Section 1115 Waiver
When finalized this plan would be submitted to the federal government as the next major step toward gaining approval of renewing and dramatically expanding the State's Section 1115 Medicaid Waiver. The proposal calls for shifting tens of thousands of children and adults with disabilities and seniors into "organized delivery systems of care" that could use existing managed health care systems or create new systems. Depending on how it is finalized, it could have a major impact on Medicaid funded services and programs including In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS), regional center services and mental health community-based services and children's health services. The existing Section 1115 Waiver is set to expire in August. For more information you can also visit www.cdcan.us.

Be Counted! United States Census 2010
The census is a count of everyone, both citizens and non-citizens, residing in the United States. The U.S. Constitution requires a national census once every 10 years to count the population and determine the number of seats each state will have in the U.S. House of Representatives. The federal government allocates more than $400 billion to states and communities based in part on census data. Your participation is very important.
